March's books, discussion, and activities are for grades 7-12.
To "officially" sign up to participate in this month's discussion and activities, please join the Wiki. Then, post on the Discussion Board under the "Introduce Yourself" thread by 3:00 PM Friday, March 18. Once you have registered, you will receive an invitation to join the Google Folder "Literacy through Children's & YA Lit". Please add this folder to your Drive. You will post your lesson plan in this Google Folder.


The March books selection is the participants' choice of one of the 2015 Teens' Top Ten.

Participants are responsible for obtaining a copy of the book.

Participants are excepted to:
  • Read the assigned book(s) for the month.
  • Respond to the discussion questions.
  • Respond to other participants answers in separate posts.
  • Create a lesson using the book(s).
  • Meet together for 1 hour to further discuss the books and share lesson plan.

Discussions need to be posted and Lessons need to be emailed by 9:00 PM Sunday, April 3.

We will meet to discuss the books on Monday, April 4 from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM in room 217 (Main Campus).


Lesson Plan Instructions:
  1. In a Google Document, create your lesson.
  2. Please put your name and the title of your book in the name of the lesson.
  3. Move your lesson into the Literacy through Children's & YA Lit folder.
